NagraID Arrow Secure Card (NASC) is working on launching credit and debit cards equipped with a high contrast, ultra-fast LCD flexible display for online transactions. These cards will be able to display a one-time password (OTP) as and when customers carry out a transaction by pressing a button on them, Neeraj Malhotra, vice-president, NASC told PTI.
Currently, Turkey and Taiwan are amongst 29 countries which are using over 1.5 million cards equipped with the LCD display technology.
The technology used for generation of passwords is linked to the server of the bank and is authenticated within a minute. The company is in discussions with a number of private and public sector banks for the introduction of such credit and debit cards.
